What We Believe

The following are the core beliefs of Renewal Miami Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
GOD
We believe that there is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and
praise.

God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness,
knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday,
today, and tomorrow.

(2 Cor. 13:14).
REVELATION
We believe that God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself

(2 Tim. 3:16,17)
HUMANKIND
We believe that humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations

(Gen.27).
THE FALL
We believe that Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, and became separated from God because of sin causing humankind to be spiritually lost apart from being born again through faith in Jesus Christ

(Rom. 5:12).
DIVINE HEALING.
We believe that divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the sick in answer to prayer offered in faith.

(Jas. 5:14-16; Heb. 13:8).
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST.
We believe that Jesus Christ will come back one day to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth and make all things new; the second coming of Jesus is personal and imminent

(1 Thess. 4:16, 17; Titus 2:11-13).
ETERNITY.
We believe that every person will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive eternal life or death.

(Rev. 20:11-15; Heb. 9:27; 2 Cor. 5:10).
SALVATION THROUGH GRACE.
We believe that Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who believe and follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone

(Jn. 3:16; Rom.5:8).
NEW BIRTH.
We believe that a profound transformation and renewal of the spirit takes place in people who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior; believers turn away from sin in genuine repentance
and allow Christ’s life to be lived through them.

(2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 2:20)
WATER BAPTISM.
We believe that baptism by immersion in water is an outward sign of an inward work

(Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4).
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM.
We believe that baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers believers for witness and that the Holy Spirit’s incoming follows the same pattern that is described in the New Testament.

(Acts 2:4).
SPIRIT FILLED LIFE.
We believe that it is the will of God that we daily walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.

(Eph. 4:30-32).
THE CHURCH.
We believe that followers of Jesus are being made into a new family, called the Church and meant to be the visible body of Christ meeting regularly, and sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

(Heb.10:24,25; Matt. 28:19,20).
HOLY COMMUNION.
We believe in commemorating the Lord’s Supper by symbolic use of bread and fruit of the vine.

(1 Cor. 11:24,25).
